LIAM and SIN Systems
The Oil, Natural Gas and Biofuel National Agency (Agência Nacional do Petróleo, Gás Natural e BiocombustÃveis – ANP), as a regulating and supervising organ, needs an instrument to manage and monitor environment licensing and incidents systematically. This instrument aims at establishing strategic studies and specialized researches about corporate information that are safe from prevention and environment impacts managing. These impacts are generated by the country’s establishments, activities and installations connected to oil, natural gas and biofuel.
Among ANP’s activities, one of them refers to the Agency’s corporate data management in Environment Licensing and Incidents. To help this specific activity, two systems with geospatial support were created: Environment License System (Sistema de Licenças Ambientais - LIAM) and Incident System (Sistemas de Incidentes - SIN).
The Incident System (SIN) manages corporate data related to oil, natural gas and biofuel industry’s incidents in Brazil. It supports ANP’s regulation and supervising functions.
The Environment License System (LIAM) manages corporate data regarding environment licensing of oil, natural gas and biofuel on Brazilian industries. It supports ANP’s authorization processes and allows the information crossing that relates licensing and incidents of a same industry.
