Higher Education INEP Platform

INEP Higher Education Platform aims at supporting processes of teachers registration, courses and higher education institutions evaluation, specialization (named as lato sensu in Brazil) graduate courses maintenance and integrated management of information gathered by the Higher Education census.

The constitution of this platform predicts the development of 23 products in the areas of information capture, searches via web, Business Intelligence (decision making process based on information cubes), knowledge systems, training program and technology transfer to INEP.

The information projects aim at attending specific areas from INEP’s mission. These projects have in common the need for mapping information about individuals connected to the National Education System (Sistema Nacional de Ensino). Since each project interacts with a distinct part of individuals (higher education teachers, course evaluators, an INEP’s analyst, higher education institutions and intermediate education students), current forms are independent from information flow between INEP and projects users.

INEP’s information platform offers, to each institution unit, details about teachers, evaluators and Higher Education census current forms.
